The acclaimed London based Box Clever Theatre Company are looking to complete casting for our spring 2017 touring season.

Box Clever was recently
awarded a prestigious touring grant from Arts Council England. The company
continues to make, produce and tour its own work in collaboration with
emerging and established artists. Regular creatives include Iqbal Khan, Rhys
Jarman, Stephen Burke, Virgil Howe and David Ajao.

Box Clever welcomes applications from trained ACTORS and ACTORS/MUSICIANS
interested in being seen for the project described below. (Please note that
the rehearsal and tour dates below are provisional.)

The BOX CLEVER style demands actors are physically fit, vocally strong,
committed and conscientious. Accredited training, ability to drive and
experience of touring and workshops is desirable. An interest in new writing
and working with young people is essential.

FEET FIRST

A cast of 3: Boy (m), Dad (m), Narrator (f)

In rehearsal & on tour: 26 June – July

Our original road safety play for primary school students. We are looking
for Actors/Musicians to complete casting. All the rehearsals and the tour
will be in London.

THE PASSENGER

A cast of 3: Sami 18(f), Gary 18(m), Narrator (f)

In rehearsal & on tour: mid-September – the end of November 2017 (possible
extension)

The hugely successful play for young drivers, touring nationally,
predominantly to secondary schools and colleges and performing to 14-16 year
old students on a daily basis.

FRANKENSTEIN

A cast of 3: Dr Frankenstein 20-30(m); The Creature (m); Author (f)

In rehearsal & on tour: early September – early November 2017

Iqbal Khan’s brand-new adaptation. Touring nationally to schools and a
theatre venues, performing mainly to 10-16 year old students on a daily
basis.

MARK AND THE MARKED

A cast of 4: 3 actors and 1 facilitator/musician

In rehearsal & on tour: end of October – end of November 2017

Our original issue-based play about bullying and hate crime for primary
schools. The play has no words but uses physical theatre technique and
music. We are looking for actors and facilitators who have high level of
physical and/or musical skills.

BASIC TERMS & CONDITIONS
