When it comes to Target’s plus-size clothing line, criticism is out of fashion.

At least in the case of two style bloggers who were hired to model the company’s spring and fall looks — but famously reported that the earlier line didn’t fit them too well. Now they’re praising the fall offerings from Ava & Viv at Target.

Style bloggers Nicolette Mason, Gabi Gregg and Chastity Garner star in the line’s fall look book just like they did in the spring. This time, though, they say the clothes fit them better.

Gregg wrote on her blog: “When the brand launched this spring, I was really honest with both Target and you guys, admitting that while I really liked some pieces, I thought it could be better.”

Gregg said Target incorporated her feedback into its second collection. “I think we can all agree the design is definitely improved,” she said.

Garner hit a similar theme, saying the biggest improvement was the increase in denim.

“This year Target is offering a few more styles that fit the bottom-heavy girls,” she wrote on her blog.

The bloggers double as models. And that’s no secret, according to Target spokesman Joshua Thomas.

“The bloggers were hired to model in both the spring and fall AVA & VIV look books,” Thomas said. “Throughout this entire process, we have encouraged the women to be completely open and honest with us and with their followers.”

Garner was clearly candid — since she was initially tapped for that modeling gig after she told her readers to boycott the store. Her comments had come in response to Target’s not offering plus sizes in its designer collaboration with Altuzarra.

Target launched the Ava & Viv line in January after criticism that the store didn’t have enough plus-size clothing. The company’s collaboration with Lilly Pulitzer, for example, only carried plus-sizes online.

Ava & Viv features sizes from 26 to 4X. Previously, Target only carried women’s plus-size clothing up to size 18.
