While being selected to walk in a Victoria’s Secret show would be the ultimate ego boost for the majority of us, some of the ladies who were paid such a compliment have ever since been pining for more; those coveted angel wings.
These prayers have finally been answered for 10 of the brand’s models, as Victoria’s Secret announce 10 new angels to join the already established likes of Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Behati Prinsloo.
Time to meet the latest recruits.
1. Kate Grigorieva (Russia)
Kate is an accomplished ballroom dancer. She graduated from art school and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing before starting her modeling career.
2. Taylor Hill (Colorado)
Taylor was scouted while on a horse ranch in Colorado. She likes new music, reading, snowboarding and practicing yoga.
3. Elsa Hosk (Sweden)
Elsa began modeling after her father submitted photographs to a local agency. Elsa balanced modeling with a professional basketball career, eventually leaving the court to pursue modeling full time.
4. Martha Hunt (North Carolina)
Martha was discovered in her home state of North Carolina at a modeling competition. She likes to cook and stays active with surfing and dancing.
5. Jac Jagaciak (Poland)
Jac was discovered at a casting in a local shopping mall. She comes from an athletic family and has been training in track and field since she was a child. She enjoys playing sports and cooking.
6. Stella Maxwell (UK)
Stella has lived all over the world. She was discovered by a New Zealand agent, and loves racket sports, hiking and travel.
7. Lais Ribeiro (Brazil)
Lais loves to stay active with boxing, volleyball and soccer. She also has a passion for salsa dancing.
8. Sara Sampaio (Portugal)
Sara has won the Portuguese “Best Female Model” Golden Globe multiple times. She is a brown belt in karate, plays the violin and loves to surf.
9. Romee Strijd (Holland)
Romee has major interests in interior design and cooking, and stays fit with running and boxing.
10. Jasmine Tookes (California)
Jasmine practiced gymnastics for 14 years and played high school volleyball. She is a self-described “foodie” who loves trying new and exotic meals.
Victoria’s Secret also recently announced their first “International Bombshells’ Day” scheduled for May 2. The brand will be offering exclusive, limited-time specials at stores and online at VictoriasSecret.com.
